We were contacted by a customer service rep and have reached a reasonable resolution. I wish it didn't take posting pissed reviews to get there, but nice to know someone cares about customer service.

We have had a terrible experience with Central Security Group - stay away!! Over the past 7 years we've experienced numerous system outages.

It takes forever to get a hold of customer service and when you do, nothing can be fixed over the phone and they have to send someone out for service which takes days to schedule. Their service is subcontracted and we've experienced multiple instances of them be rude, late or not showing up at all. On a recent service call the tech showed up after hours, refused to follow instructions on where I wanted our equipment moved, and then ignored me and talked on his cell phone in another language like he owned my house - I truly felt unsafe while he was here. On top of that, the tech's personal car also left a huge oil spot in our driveway...

When I called Central Security Group to let them know about the experience, they didn't care that I felt unsafe, they just wanted to know if the job had been done. Recently, we were offered a better deal for service by another company, so we accepted and had new equipment installed. When we called to cancel service with Central Security Group, they informed us that they've been rolling us into 1 year, non-cancellable contracts and it would be $275 to break our current contract that ended 9 months from now. We figured after 7 years, there was no way we were still under any sort of a commitment, so were shocked to find that they had been rolling us from contract to contract without even a call or email to let us know.

When we complained, they simply said it was in the contract we signed 7 years ago... I'm sure there is some clause in there that says what their doing is technically "legal" but that sure doesn't make it right!

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Monetary Loss: $275.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

Central Security Group Cons: Unable to cancel contract, Poor customer service, Disappointing service call technicians.
