This is a scam company trying to fraudulently charge me months after contract finished and terminated

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Sold my previous house in July 2015. Still had 3 months of service left with the company. We paid 3 months worth of payment despite no service having been provided as we had to use different company at the new house due to HOA mandate. We jumped through all the hoops to ensure we send them written notice of termination of the contract and that they did get the notice to terminate service. That was in September 2015. They acknowledged the completion of contract. Now it's March 2016 and they are sending me invoice to my new address for security monitoring of the previous house that was sold in July 2015. These guys are scamsters

Impossible to cancel

I was happy with them for 6 years. But after getting forced into retirement, and not having the budget I used to - I called to end my service. I told them why. I got passed around on the phone, offered a couple of free months to start a new contract, told that even though my contract is long expired I need to give advance notice in order to end service. They pass me around again between being on hold and with other people trying to get me to re-up. Finally they say I need to send an email to zcare@***.com - so I try to send the email and it bounces. Call back and start the game over again - on hold, on hold, on hold... I don't get the impression they are going to talk to me.

Horrible Service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Been with them for 3 years, signed a $48 a month monitoring fee. Today after our contract is up in 1 month, they call and say "why are you short paying your fee by $2.00? We said our contract said $48 !!! now we owe like additional $72 !! To boot over the 3-year period when we had to call them for questions // repairs, first of all we had to hold on their phone for at a minimum of 45 minutes, secondly they could not get a repairman out to our home for almost 2 weeks !! There we were left with No monitoring service, but *** well was charged for it ! So horrible in my opinion, horrible service !

Don't do business with this company!!!

Had them for over 5 years. Sold my house and called customer service to discontinue service, as I did with other utilities company without any problem whatsoever. CSG refused to cancel my contract, instead they wanted me to continue paying, however I explained that I was building a new house and it would take 6-8 months to be completed. They wanted me to pay and when the house was completed they would give me "credit" for it. I refused and promised them to spread the fact that they are plain thieves. After some back and forward and speaking with no so pleasant customer service they agreed to cancel. WILL NEVER USE or recommend this company ever again.

Worthless customer service

After my alarm went down for a couple weeks with no attempt by CSG and local guys to repair, I cancelled their service in writing and had another service put in. They continued to bill for full service for several months and then turned over to a collection agency when I did not pay for service not received. After attempting to resolve the matter, the head of customer service would not return my calls. Over $400 in charges for time not in service is unbelievable but what they seem to think is more important than a good customer Stay far away from these guys is my best recommendation

Harassing me for the last 7 months

I changed Alarm Company in May, and they have been trying to bill me every month. I have sent them registared mail 3 or 4 different times, telling them to quit monitoring my system I have a different company now.

I have talked to them 5 times about it. I have not used them for 7 months.

I had contract with them for the ladt 7 years, and decided to change to someone in my area. When I talked to the first lady the first time, I asked to quit taking money out of my account, she said I would have to be a stop payment on my account, so I did and they are still calling every day and sending me a bill saying I owe, start sending back no return address.

90% of the compaints I see are complaining about the annual contract renewal. This is clearly discussed in the contract. If anything, the dealer is responsible for explaining this. It's also the customers responsibility to read the agreement. Luckily, i read the contract and have been nothing but pleased with their services

A simple move to a new house and transfer my alarm. CS is trying to get me to sign a three year contact, and since they couldn't, they are being very difficult in reactivating my Alarm at my new home. 6 calls in with a tech standing in my house and three supervisors later and still nothing!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
This is the worst security company I've ever had. Their customer service is disrespectful, they take months to fix any problem with your system, and good luck if it get fixed. I've been without service for a month, and nothing have been done about it. I called them 4 times already and all they can say is "my apologies" or "sorry to hear that." These company should be marked as a fraud, just because that's what they are. They promise the best service when they are selling their product but after they got what they want, you are basically screwed. I'll do everything in my power to get rid of the contract I have with them cause this is ridiculous.

Central Security Group - Contract Review from Mesa, Arizona

Had Central Security since 2009, installed a new system with my cable company due to my current system being outdated and faulty. When I went to cancel they told me I was in a automatic renewal period for another five months.

On the contract it doesn't have a time frame just that you can cancel with notice. Spoke with a supervisor, didn't care they are still going to charge me for five months. Never had a problem like this with my previous provider ADT.

So buyer beware this company will hold you in contract for the rest of your life. I think this is a class action lawsuit so I am looking into now just in spite.

Apparently you didn't read the contract. It clearly states you have 30 days b4 the end of each term to cancel.

3 year contract with 1 year renewal clause.

It's ultimately the dealers fault for not explaining this. Not CSG's

Guest

Please tell me nobody fell for this and paid them?! There are no terms on the automatic renewal which makes it VOID!

Guest

Beware Central Security Group is now illegally signing contracts ! Per Federal Law a licensed manager is to be the first person to sign and approve contracts per federal

Law , well manager was let

Go and new manager can't get a license for 8 years !

Real Genius Company!

CEO lives in Miami Florida and has no clue what is going on , nor does he care! Please

Contact your Attorney General and file charges as this is Fraud !

Guest

If you do get a class action lawsuit against them, let me know. Please post.

Same happened to me. Read so many reviews with same thing.

You're an imbecile. Read your contract. If you can't understand the contract, ask your children to help you.

The cancellation policies are clearly spelled out.

Guest

The alarm service agreement clearly states the term is for 3 years and renews automatically for 1 year at a time. I recommend learning how to read before signing a agreement.

Billing Issues

I moved out of my house April 2015 I'm not sure why but the security service was never turned off. I spoke with the sales rep and a "supervisor" about moving the service to the new house, in the end I didn't use SCG because they would not honor the price I was paying.CSG continues to bill me for service I don't have. Again a "supervisor" told me they would be holding me to the contract, but they won't hold-up their end. They refuse to either hook up the alarm at the new house and I'll pay or let me out of the contract. Maybe all the "supervisors" need to read the contracts before up-setting a customer that has had service with them for over 10 years.

MISLEADING AND FALSE ADVERTISEMENT TO MILITARY SOLDIERS AND FAMILY

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
When I purchased my new home Bryan Leaphart came by to promote the Honeywell alarm system equipment and security. He claimed that the corporation was one of the best and stood by their product. He stated that there was a military clause and that the equipment even after receipt of military orders would be free and I wouldn't be penalized and released from contract upon proof of orders. When I received orders to PCS I called Bryan and all of a sudden he had amnesia and reneged on his offer. He stated that in order to be released from the contract that he would need the equipment back and gave me the number to Care Central Security to cancel service. I called and Dan, a customer service assistant, answered and stated that I couldn't be released from contract that it was a 36 month. I informed him that the information provided to me by their seller was inaccurate and misleading. I asked to speak with a manager and a so called Antwon answered stating he was the manager but didn't know exactly how to assist. I felt uncomfortable and asked if he was a manager and actually I started to doubt the validity of this business. I asked where I could send my orders so, they could be reviewed by higher and he gave me an email and also told me that my email address had to contain my full name, yes, ladies and gentlemen I repeat my actual email not the subject or ATTN to line but my actual email address had to consist of my name. I told him where in the policy or on the website did it state that and he stated that only employees could see that. I stated as a paying customer I should be aware and it should be public any type of policy that the corporation puts out and expects for clients to abide by. I'm very concerned with this company they have been misleading abusing and stealing money from consumers. This company should be reviewed for legitimacy and possibly fined. I am paying for a service that I no longer use.

You know, I've read a lot of these complaints and most of them are about customers not being released from their contracts. What most consumers fail to realize is that the alarm company invested all of the equipment and installation costs BECAUSE the consumer was willing to sign a 2 or 3 year contract.

It's like buying a car and then for whatever reason you can't keep the car anymore so the consumer wants to tell the bank... Nah just forget about the loan. I no longer need the car. I'm moving out of the country!

Nithing is for free.

You are basically financing the alarm system over 3 years with 0% interest. That's the bottom line!!

Original review Jan 27, 2015
This is a horrible company with no integrity. They ripped me off for $250 and continue to bill me even though they are fully aware that they do not monitor my alarm. When I tried to call to straighten it out, they hung up on me, put me on hold and never came back to my call several times, and then they told me the whole thing was straightened out and that they would let me out of the contract without charging me any more. Then, they made automatic withdrawl's from my account after the service was cancelled. And now they have completely reversed what they told me and sent me bills in the mail. In short, they offered to buy me out of my contract to get me to switch services then stuck me with a $250 bill. Instead, they continue to bill me an have threatened to put a judgment on my credit. I wish I was making this up but it is 100% true. As a former customer, my opinion is that this company has no integrity (kind of important for a security company) and has business practices that border on fraud. BEWARE!
